Started as a passion project, this zine became a personal journey into my parents’ migration story, reflecting on life as a child of migrants and the stories that shaped my family.
Moving Places and What We Carry is a photo documentary project about migration—and the things we carry with us as we move. There are physical things that fit inside a rectangular suitcase, and there are also intangible things: memories, dreams, fears. All of which we carry in our own palms as we travel from rural areas to urban cities, eventually finding ourselves in a different country.
A physical copy of the zine is available to purchase. Holding it in print is a beautiful and special experience. Each one is hand-bound and made with care. ❤️
